On July 9th, Sondra was presented with the 2008 Best Dance Instructor award by Minnesota Bride Magazine as several hundred of Minnesota's finest in the wedding industry gathered at the Calhoun Beach Club to honor the best of 2008 and launch the new Fall/Winter issue.

Here's what the magazine wrote about Sondra:
"Not all couples know how to dance. Sondra Chan of My Wedding Dance regularly comes to the rescue of those who suddenly realize they’re dealing with four left feet. She listens to their first dance song and, based on the rhythm and style, recommends the foxtrot, waltz or rumba. From there, she tailors each dance to fit the tune, working one-on-one with couples. “My fiancé was skeptical about dance lessons and didn’t want to look foolish on the dance floor under the spotlight,” says Bride Trisha Witte. “Sondra put him at ease and gave us tips for what to do if we misstep or step on each other.” Chan, who trained at Arthur Murray Dance Studio and will soon be one of 10 Minnesota instructors certified by Dance Vision International Dance Association, also offers group lessons at Lifetime Fitness in Bloomington through her other company, GottaDanceNOW."
